This is from a GodTube e-mail I received...
"A final change to mention… In addition to the site-wide changes you’ll soon be seeing, you’ll also notice a change in our name. We felt we needed something that would work hand-in-hand with the new site, helping us to reach even more people than ever before. We feel this will go a long way in helping us create a single online destination for people searching for a faith-based, family friendly environment in which to connect, share and grow." --Jason Illian, CEO
It's nice to have a Christian alternative website, GodTube, to YouTube. Let me make that clear. However, now that GodTube is "the #1 Christian social network in the world" the powers that be feel it is necessary to change the name of the site. It will be interesting to see what the new name will be. The new name, in line with their new philosophy, should read something like the following:
1. SecularTube...
2. We'reinitforthemoneyforgetGodTube
3. ...OsteengospelliteTube...
4. You(God) broughtusherebutwe'relettingyougonowTube...
5. don'toffendanyoneTube....
6. taking"God"outofsomethingelseTube
7. Godwho?Tube
8. ThrowingGodunderthebusTube
9. EvolutionTube
10. ---blessyouTube
The name change is a portentous sign of things that may come at GodTube. Harvard University began as a Christian school. Now, finding a Christian at Harvard is as likely as Arnold Schwarzeneggar climbing up a spider web. Upon the opening of Oral Roberts University, Rev. Billy Graham cautioned Roberts of the danger of Oral Roberts University slipping away from its original vision and purpose---to promote the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Good luck, GodTube, or whatever your name is.
